Covid safety for employees

The pandemic has been a rollercoaster for the whole of the industry and that is no different at ASDA Opticians.

Our focus throughout has been to ensure patient and colleague safety, whilst remaining available for our customers should they need us.

We have comprehensive standard operating procedures and governance processes in place to ensure our professionals, colleagues and the business are doing the right thing and keeping our patients safe. Through our Professional Services and Compliance teams we regularly communicate on any changes in guidance or regulation, sharing best practice, learnings and training to allow our professionals to develop and ensure they are delivering clinical excellence.

During the pandemic we have implemented many changes both physically to our departments like Perspex screens and UVC sanitisation units through to changes in  our clinic management, increased appointment times,  infection control process, customer flow, PPE introduction and much more. This has allowed us to remain open to be there for our patients if they need us, whilst keeping our departments COVID safe.
