SpaMedica is the largest provider for NHS cataract surgery in the UK with over 55 dedicated eye hospitals. Each hospital has outpatients and theatre departments – providing cataract services plus capsulotomies at all hospitals, plus many now offer AMD treatments.

We are still expanding our services and hospitals - our rapidly growing team is looking for clinically-minded optometrists who would like to embark on a new challenge away from the high street.

It's life at the receiving end of referrals – lots of pathology to detect and manage, patients to advise and plan surgical treatment for, plus occasionally we work from home responding to patient queries by phone. If you like variety in your week and feeling like you really help people, then this could be for you!

You would be joining a national team of over 100 hospital optometrists leading our outpatient clinics across the UK, all highly skilled in their roles - if you like the feeling of being part of something exciting this is a great place to work! We are connected daily by our clinical support team – senior optometrists and ophthalmologists who are on hand to answer queries, so whilst we are empowered to make the management plans for our patients, we are never alone in our decision making if we need support.
