The role
Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care are pleased to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our wonderful team in Christchurch. If you have retail experience and wish to explore something new, this is the role for you. This is a full-time position working 5 days a week and will include weekend working.

Leightons has grown to have 34 stores, all special and unique 24 fully owned, 7 franchised, 2 co-owned and 1 business operating under its own name.
Primary roles and responsibilities
To greet patients on arrival, make appointments, accurately collect and record patient information on OPTIX
Carry out pre-screening assessment including retinal imaging and OCT examinations
Assisting the Branch Manager in monitoring branch performance as well as actively developing and promoting performance improvement strategies
Deal with all other ad-hoc tasks as directed, including assisting other members of the practice team
Provide consultative advise to customers on frame and spectacle choices
Accurately process customer contact lens orders and assist with the insertion, removal and care of contact lenses
Promote products and services in branch to maximise selling opportunities including sunglasses, accessories and hearing care services/products
Administrative tasks including but not restricted to; customer orders, processing NHS vouchers, record keeping, processing post and mail, banking, cashing up and taking payments.
Requirements
To be suitable for this role, you need to have strong customer service skills with an ability to go the extra mile. Experience working within retail, hospitality or a caregiving environment are advantageous but not required.
