Focalpoint Opticians, a thriving independent practice in South West London, is looking for a patient-focused Dispensing Optician or Contact Lens Optician to join our team. Whether you are currently studying or working towards qualifying as a Contact Lens Optician (CLO), we would love to hear from you! We’re also open to qualified CLOs who are interested in expanding their experience in dispensing. This is a combined role, so a strong passion for and knowledge in both areas are essential.

In this position, you’ll split your time between contact lens work and dispensing, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to dispensing duties. You’ll work alongside our experienced CLO, receiving full support for your studies, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a variety of specialties, including Myopia management, Ortho K's and Sports Vision.

Ideal Candidate:

• ABDO qualified DO or studying to become a CLO
• Strong communication skills and patient focus
• Team player with a keen eye for detail
• Interested in developing skills in contact lenses and myopia management
• Ability to work with a wide range of patients
• DBS check required

Desirable:

Experience with optical systems, myopia management, Ortho-K, and contact lens options Knowledge of new lens products and digital ordering systems

Working Hours: Full-time, Saturdays required, closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
