Major Healthcare is looking to speak with Optometrists supporting one of Dorset and Somerset’s leading local family run independent opticians located in North Dorset.

Competitive salary and package:

  • You’ll receive a basic salary of up to £70,000 with additional benefits.

You might be looking for a better work/life balance?

  • You’ll only be required to work 1 in 4 Saturdays; they also closed Sundays & Bank Holidays.

Want to provide the highest quality care over constantly worrying about commercial targets?

  • You’ll gain this with between 45 minute - 1 hour testing times, plus the additional benefit of gaining a greater understanding of patients concerns, needs and lifestyles.

You can have access to the latest equipment to enhance patient care:

  • Using high-tech equipment, including OCT, Optomap, E-EYE & IRPL-Eye (Dry Eye treatment) and Digital Phoropter technology.

Can we assume you want to cater to a variety of diverse patient needs?

  • You’ll develop skills to support patients with a variety of specialties, including Dry eye treatment, Glaucoma Referral Refinement, ACES (MCES), Myopia Management, Cataract monitoring, Paediatrics eyecare, Hear care services and Specialist contact lenses Inc. Ortho-K.

Has your personal and professional development started to stagnate?

  • Should you be interested, the company are happy to financially support with Independent Prescribing qualification and other professional certificates.

Is your current staff turnover high and so you’re not supported properly?

  • Join a stable, well-established, experienced team of 6 optical professional who create a supportive and collaborative work environment.

  • You’ll be working alongside established, additionally accredited teams of Optometrist Directors and benefit from specialist support and mentorship.

  • With 2 very spacious test rooms where they promote a relaxed, high-end setting in a spacious and beautifully presented working environment
     
  • Their spacious rooms are equipped with modern and hi-tech equipment, and they use the latest innovative designs in spectacle lens technology and frame design
     
  • They work with a wide range of designer and fashionable glasses with the ability to handpick the best frames and lenses for customers without having to be restricted to any one supplier
     
  • With a close-knit team of experienced optical professionals who have worked together for years and are all passionate about optometry

Details and requirements

  • Opening hours: Monday – Saturday (09:00am - 17:30pm)
  • Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays, with only 1 in 4 Saturdays required
  • Full or part time position considered
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

  • £70,000 + professional fees
  • 25 days holiday + 8 BH (33 in total)
