Major Healthcare is supporting one of Devon’s elite high-end independent opticians who've won a number of awards for their bespoke, innovative eye care services.

We are looking to speak with Dispensing Opticians who are keen to join a team of optical professionals offering the highest standards of private eyecare. The company are open to speak with individuals interested in full or part time and alongside a market leading salary offer a uniquely exclusive benefits package.

This is a fantastic and very unique opportunity for a Dispensing Optician to join an optical company that's extremely well invested, superbly equipped and has an established and very experienced team working together within a beautifully looking practice.

Key Advantages

• Basic salary of up to £36,000 + exclusive benefits package
• 30 – 45 minutes testing times, offering the ability to gain a greater understanding of patients concerns, needs and lifestyles
• Working with a wide range of designer and fashionable glasses with the ability to handpick the best frames and lenses for customers without having to be restricted to any one supplier
• Their spacious rooms are equipped with modern and hi-tech equipment, and they use the latest innovative designs in spectacle lens technology and frame design
• Equipment includes – Topcon OCT, Nidec Duo-Scan OCT, Auto & Manual Phoropters, Video Slit Lamps, Humphrey FDT Perimeter, Humphrey VFA, iCare Tonometer, Nidec Digital Test Chart, Trial Frame sets, alongside a very efficient computerised management system
• The company run a variety of specialist services and clinics including – Dry eye clinics, Diabetic screening, Glaucoma & Cataract monitoring, Paediatrics eyecare, Hear care services and Specialist contact lenses
• Only half a day on Saturdays, as they open till 12:30pm, they're also happy to consider full & part time interest and close Sundays and Bank Holidays, offering you a much better work life balance
• 2 very spacious test rooms, within a boutique, high-end setting and a spacious and beautifully presented working environment
• The business offer staff parking permits saving you money, time and stress in the mornings and evenings
• As their staff turnover is extremely low, you will be part of an experienced, friendly, close-knit team of optical professionals who have worked together for years and are all passionate about optometry

Details and requirements

• Opening hours: Monday – Friday (09:00am - 17:00pm) Saturday (09:00am – 12:30pm)
• Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays
• Full or part time position considered
• Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

• Basic salary of up to £36,000 + commission scheme
