Optical Assistant Position

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. With in a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands who are looking to expand their well performing team.

This practice operates as an independent practice just with a big name above the door. They stock a higher end range of frames and offer additional services to their customers. This practice is very modern having just had a brand new re-fit. The practice is situated on a busy main road and has a large and loyal customer base made up of mainly private patients with some NHS. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant.

At least 6 months of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice. The ability to dispense to all levels. A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
