Optometrist

We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our practice team in the three market towns of Coleford, Cinderford and Lydney within the Forest of Dean in a full time role.

Established in 1962, David Kear Opticians continues to offer primary eye care services for the whole family. We welcome both NHS and Private patients, but will always endeavour to tailor our services according to each individual.

Optometrists are supported by clinical assistants and qualified dispensing opticians, or those on the journey to full qualification.

Both eye examinations and contact lens fitting/aftercare will be required. The role will cover all areas of primary eyecare and is interesting, varied and professionally stimulating.

Practice equipment includes:

• Thomson digital sight test charts
• Topcon OCT
• Optos Daytona & Monaco Widefield Imaging
• Humphrey and Henson field screeners

Optometrists of all experience levels will be considered. However you must hold all required qualifications to practice within the UK and be registered with the General Optical Council.
