Major Healthcare are supporting a designer high-end independent practice who are looking to employ a new Optometrist in Deal, South West Kent.

The company is an independent family run business that was established over 40 year ago. They are passionate about providing an extremely comprehensive service all the way through from sight test to collection of spectacles. They focus on great design and quality and their frame range is extensive and includes something to suit everyone.

This is a unique opportunity for an Optometrist to work within an independent optical practice that pride themselves on a thorough and extensive sight tests providing patients with the best possible lenses to provide brilliant vision and superior comfort.

• Basic salary of up to £70,000 + benefits
   
• Flexible 30 - 45 minute testing times with potential time between appointments if required
   
• Working within a high-end, stylish practice with the latest state of the art technology and equipment including; OCT, Auto-refractor, Trial Frame sets, iCare Tonometer with a fully computerised management system
   
• They offer specialist patient services including – Dry eye assessments, Diabetic screening, Glaucoma & Cataract monitoring, Paediatric eyecare, Hear care services and Specialist contact lenses
   
• Their eyewear collections are unique and elegant promoting a wide range of designer and fashionable glasses, with a host of different styles ensuring there is something for everyone
   
• The practices has 2 spacious test rooms and a boutique, modern and fashionably stylish practice space
   
• The practice closes over lunchtime between 1:00pm – 1:40pm guaranteeing you have an adequate break that it not interrupted by appointments
   
• Your day to day work can be fairly varied allowing you to have more of a voice and become involved in training, marketing and business development, if interested
   
• No weekends required, they are also happy to consider full & part time interest and close Sundays and Bank Holidays, offering a much better work life balance
   
• Being part of a friendly, close-knit team of experienced optical professionals who are all passionate about optometry
   
• Short and long term clinical training and development available including financial support towards independent prescribing qualification
   
• For the right individual there may be potential long term partnership opportunity giving you the ability to increase your financial earnings as the practice grows

Details and requirements

• Practice opening hours: Monday – Friday (09:00am - 17:00pm) Saturday (09:00am – 13:00pm)
• No weekends required!
• Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays
• Full or part time position considered
• Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

• Basic salary of up to £70,000 + bonus
• Pension + all professional fees paid
• 20 days holiday + 8 BH (28 in total)
