About The Role

Specsavers in Blyth has been going from strength to strength, ever since the business started back in 1984 so we are looking for an Optometrist to join our team. We recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success, so we do everything we can to make sure you get the career you're looking for, from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and flexibility.

You will be working with a great team of Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and the wider team, with 4 test rooms fully equipped with OCT and Phoropters and can expect Nidek equipment. The patients you see will mostly be NHS, we also support CUES/MECS appointments in store, however, if you haven't got the accreditation we are more than willing to support you through this.

As a GOC registered Optometrist, you will be responsible for putting people at ease and welcoming customers with a naturally personable approach. You will talk customers through the eye examination process and talk through their options with them.

We want to help you on your journey to success, so in addition to the above we also offer the opportunity for clinical progression, whether you are looking to advance your career with qualifications, step into management and or own your own store with pathway support.

Location

Blyths brightly coloured beach huts, bustling port and abundance of heritage give it an irresistible charm (not to mention its mouth-watering fish and chips...). The historical port is still a working port today, and you can watch sailing boats drifting in and out from the towns quayside. Only 14 miles northeast of Newcastle you can be back in the city easily bycar or bus.
