Optical Assistant

If you’re an experienced Optical Assistant based in South of Wales and would be interested in a Monday – Friday role with NO late nights and enjoy being out and about then this would be the ideal role for you.

– Must have 1-year minimum experience of working in an opticians
– Must be able to dispense to all levels
– You will be able to work 5-days per week Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:30
– Must have a full, manual driving license

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

– You will be covering the South of Wales including all surrounding areas of Swansea from Kidwelly to Bridgend.
– You will accompanied by an Optometrist who will be aiming to conduct 9-10 tests per day and you will be looking to convert these tests into sales.
– Be able to liaise with the Optometrist throughout the day and meet at first venue as well as planning your journey together or separately.
– Providing a clinical and caring service to all of your patients, some patients may need more care than others and so require a good chair side manner and patience.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

– Be able to work 5 days, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:30.
– You will have over 1-year of experience as an Optical Assistant and be able to confidently dispense to all levels
As an Optical Assistant you will spend your time on various aspects of meeting your customers’ needs precisely and competently with high levels of knowledge and strong competencies. They require someone with an excellent chair side manner and clinically driven. You will be able to adapt to the specific needs of the patient to ensure the customer’s needs are taken care of as well as the needs of the business.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

Salary package is competitive up to £24,500 basic + 4-weeks holiday and the opportunity to develop your career/
– Monday to Friday – open to full or part time
– 9:00 – 5:30
– Up to £24,500 (dependent on salary)
