A public hospital in Gibraltar is seeking a qualified and experienced Optometrist for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will join a modern, English-speaking hospital environment and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Position Overview:

The appointed Optometrist will assist the Head Optometrist in delivering a comprehensive Optometric Service. Utilizing advanced and highly specialized clinical skills, the Optometrist will assess, diagnose, and formulate treatment plans for patients referred to the Optometry Service. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in optometry, looking to contribute to a public healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Optometrist in providing comprehensive eye care services.
• Use specialized clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to clinical best practices.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in optometry to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

• Must be registered with the UK’s General Optical Council (GOC).
• A degree or other qualification specifically approved by the GOC.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Availability to start as soon as possible.
• Must be a UK or EU citizen.
