If you’re looking for no weekends & no late nights then this Monday to Friday 8:30 – 5:30pm mobile Optical Assistant role, with a company car would be ideal for you.

– Must have at a minimum experience of 1-year working in an opticians – Must be able to dispense to all levels – Must be able to drive and have a full manual license – You will be able to work 5-days per week, Monday to Friday If you do not meet the above requirements, you application will not be taken further.

– £23,795 + bonus (approx £200 per month).
– Company car and fuel allowance.

Optical Assistant Position

Inspired Selections are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to cover the Birmingham area in a leading domiciliary care business. You will be required to deliver patient centred eye care to patients within care homes. It is essential that you can drive as you will be required to drive yourself and the Optometrist to the care homes.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

As an experienced Optical Assistant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high quality professional service, with high standards of dispensing, fitting and customer care plus supporting and working alongside the optometrist. In short you’ll make sure every patient gets a great experience and a professional service. A sympathetic approach is required as well as a patient manner due to the nature of the dispensing undertaken.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

– You will need previous experience in optics (6-months minimum)
– The ability and skill to dispense to all levels
– A full, UK, manual driving license with no points or previous convictions
– A customer focussed individual that has a friendly, warm and up-beat attitude
– A calm persona with patience

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

On offer there is a competitive salary of up to £23,795, a company car and a performance related bonus (approximately £200 per month), but more importantly the chance to take the next step in your optical career.
You will have full 28 days holiday.
Normal working hours are 8:30am to 5.30pm Mon- Fri but some flexibility is required due to occasional later finish as well as some earlier days.
