Here is an opportunity for a full-time Optical Assistant to work with an Independent Opticians in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire

This Independent Opticians in Long Eaton are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join the team as a Full-Time Optical Assistant. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, assisting with various optical tasks, and contributing to the overall success of the practice.

– Must have at a minimum experience of 1-year working in an opticians
– Must be able to dispense to all levels
– You will be able to work 4 or 5-days per week including Saturdays
If you do not meet the above requirements, your application will not be taken further. Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

– Assist customers with frame selection, lens options, and other optical products.
– Dispensing to all levels
– Conduct pre-screening tests and gather relevant information for the optometrist.
– Handle administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and record-keeping.
– Ensure a clean and organized retail environment.
– Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
– Work collaboratively with the optometrist and other team members to maintain a smooth workflow.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

– Minimum experience required – 1 year in retail optics.
– The ability to be able to confidently dispense to all levels
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Basic knowledge of optical terminology and products.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

They offer funding and supervision for the relevant courses, supporting your professional growth within the optical field.

Working Hours:
Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Closed on Thursdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays)

Salary: £22,000 – £23,500 per annum, depending on experience
Bonus: £50 Amazon voucher per month (if target is reached)
Free parking
