Qualified Dispensing Optician

My client is looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician with experience of working in a busy environment who can make a difference with their dispensing abilities and mentoring skills.

– Must have at a minimum experience of 1-year working in an opticians
– Must have completed the Dispensing Optician course and be GOC registered
– Must be able to dispense to all levels
– You will be able to work 4 or 5-days per week including a weekend day

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Qualified Dispensing Optician on a full time or part time, permanent basis in the Warwick area.
I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This is a large, modern practice, with a number of testing rooms, a dedicated contact lens room and a hear care room as well as the latest equipment and facilities.
They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place consisting of around 30 staff members, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.

– Up to £34,000 basic
– Team based bonus scheme (approx. £120 per month)
– Hours – 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and Sundays are 10:30am to 4pm

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

As a qualified Dispensing Optician within this practice, you will work as one of the primary dispensers on the shop floor. You will lead by example dealing with the majority of paediatric and complex dispensing. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting. As a member of the stores clinical team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For your efforts a competitive salary package of up to £34,000 along with a strong team based bonus scheme (Approx £120 per month) and additional benefits.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
