Optometrist, Ilford, part time, independent, basic up to c55,000, mid week only.

Job Summary

• An incredibly rare and exclusive prospect to work with a friendly family run opticians business on a part time mid week only basis near Ilford
• As a fully independent business the practice culture if extremely relaxed and colleagues are given full freedom to manage their patient care without commercial pressure
• This is par time role and uniquely available on a mid week only basis enabling the successful applicant spare time to enjoy a better work life balance or perhaps undertake other work or study alongside working with this superb employer of choice

Key Duties

• Option to work 2, 2.5 or 3 days per week preferably mid week if possible but if Saturdays are preferred then this may also be possible to accommodate
• Working hours are flexible so could work 9am-530pm or 930am-6pm with one hour lunch or take a shorter lunch and adjust the shift start and end times accordingly to best suit you!
• Future focussed passionate team who may be able to offer senior partnership options for the right applicant longer term
• Testing times are flexible roughly between 20 - 25 minutes to suit the patient and please note the patient base is already well established with all pre-screens provided by a highly experienced support team with over 15 years tenure in the business
• Digital records provided, trial frames with potential of phoropter in near future and unfortunately at present working without OCT or fundus
• The successful applicant must be clinically sound and be commercially aware but there is no hard pressure to hit targets though and the experience owners don't question their colleague's professional judgement

Package and Benefits

• Basic salary up to c.55,000 DOE full time equivalent

• GOC fees paid pro rata

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Applications welcomed from all levels of experience including soon to qualify / newly qualified Optometrists if confident to work independently and eligible or already registered with the GOC
• Must have right to work in the UK
