Optometrist, Gateshead, full time, up to 55,000 depending on experience.

We are seeking a confident Optometrist to join a long-standing and well-established Independent Optician in the Gateshead area joining a small, close-knit team

This is a dual practice position, which will provide you with great work/life balance

The ideal candidate will be highly organised with good communication skills, capable of providing excellent customer service and high quality patient care

This opportunity will help you progress your Optometry career and instil real ownership over how you practice Optometry

As an Optometrist, you will ensure that patients receive expert eye examinations, adhere to the highest clinical standards, and comply with NHS guidelines.

Key Duties

• Full time position which can be tailored to your preferred schedule, working Mon - Sat excluding Sundays
• You'll be supported in your role by an experienced optical team
• Flexible 30 minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• Working with a highly-established patient base allowing for a less sales driven, pressure free working environment giving you the ability to focus solely on what's best for your patient
• This practice continuously invest in cutting edge technology such as Fundus DRS Camera, Ophthalmoscope, Slit lamp, Autos, etc.

Package and Benefits

• Basic of up to 55,000 negotiable depending on experience
• Flexible 30 minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm, with an early finish on Saturdays

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Registered with the GOC as an Optometrist
