The Head of Clinical Performance – Domiciliary is a respected and inspirational senior figure who is highly visible to every domiciliary Optom working for Specsavers and Optometry Students. They develop the strategy and plan to ensure our domiciliary Optometrists work efficiently to enable access to care for our customers.

As Head of Clinical Performance for our Domiciliary business you’ll be working with the Head of Retail – Domiciliary and the Clinical Director – Domiciliary to deliver the clinical agenda across our Specsavers domiciliary businesses. You’ll create and implement the clinical strategy to improve access to clinical care for customers through improving clinic productivity in both a home visit and care home environment.  You’ll ensure that each business has a clinical efficiency growth plan in place.  As well as collating and developing clinical best practice so domiciliary businesses can implement at local level plans to ensure the best possible environment for clinician development, engagement & retention. 

The role also works with the Clinical Director – Domiciliary to create the domiciliary optometrist forums and hangouts which meet bi monthly / quarterly to listen to the views of optometrists in the business and to share best practice as well as develop clear plans and activities in response to this feedback which improves clinic productivity and clinician development.

To apply for the role you must be GOC registered and a Degree in Optometry, or equivalent with significant clinical experience. Due to the nature of the role, having a strategic and commercial mindset as well as having experience in leading field-based teams and influencing skills are required.
