We need a Dispensing Optician (ideally full-time but would consider part-time for the right person) who is passionate about dispensing spectacles to very discerning patients who expect the highest of standards.

About the role

This is a full-time role (part time considered for the right candidate) for a Dispensing Optician located in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

As part of our Dispensing team, you will advise patients on the frame and lens choice appropriate for their visual needs, as well as ensuring the frames they choose fit correctly. You will make accurate adjustments and complete repairs as necessary.

We work to extremely high standards when it comes to the spectacles we provide, the advice we give and the level of care we have become known for, which makes it a very satisfying job.

You will have...

• A Diploma or Degree in Dispensing Optics or an equivalent qualification registered with the General Optical Council
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to use initiative when necessary.
• Good organisational and time management skills
• An eagerness to learn and a willingness to undertake further training as needed.
• Experience using computerised practice management systems (desired)
