Qualified Dispensing Optician

Do you want a change of pace as an experienced Dispensing Optician and join a family-run group of independent opticians, take a look at this new and unique opportunity?

This role will be joining a well-established independent group of 3 practices however, you will working between two of the practices 2.5 days per week. They now require a part time Dispensing Optician to join their team. The company has been established over 50 years and still going strong due to quality customer service, comprehensive eye examinations and professional advice.

o Mondays and Tuesday (9am to 5:30pm) plus alternate half day Saturdays (9am to 1pm))
o Mondays and Tuesday based in one practice, half day Saturdays in another local branch. All of their practices are local to each other just outside to Bath
o Free parking
o Competitive salary – up to £30k pro-rata + Bonus
o Progression and development (for example low vision, myopia or CLO)

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You will be dispensing to a range of patients from children to elderly and will have a wide range of products, frames and lenses available at a patients request
You will be working alongside an Optometrist and two receptionists in a relaxed environment, where you can take time to focus on providing quality customer service and eye care to all patients.
You will also be required to do pre-screening, contact lens teaches as well as admin/ reception responsibilities.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You must be GOC registered an up to date with CET points (open to experience)
Be able to provide excellent customer service
Have a positive attitude and warming personality along with a passion for optics
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

o A competitive salary of up to £30,000 pro-rata basic.
o A monthly bonus based on hitting targets
o 5 weeks holiday pro-rata + Bank Holidays
o 2/2.5 days per week
o Free parking
o Progression and development (for example low vision, myopia or CLO)
