A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optometrist on a four day per week, permanent basis who has the ability to manage own diary and deliver the best service possible.

This practice is situated on a busy main road and has been servicing the local community for over 20- years.

Their expert team are highly qualified to serve all the visual needs, with handovers to dispensing opticians and eye examinations of 1hr 15mins.

The client is 100% committed to investing in the very latest optical technology such as, OCT – Heidelberg, Optos California, Henson 9000 – fields, Reichert 7 – non-contact tonometer and Kertatron Scout – topographer, to give the client unparalleled peace of mind when it comes to eye health.

They pride themselves on providing both exceptional clinical eye care and a huge range of the latest designer frames from brands including Tag Heuer, Oakley, Oliver Peoples, Lindberg and many more.

Their eye tests typically last around 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes and they offer Services such as Myopia Control, Corneal Topography & Ortho-K plus others.

Opening hours are: Monday to Friday – 9.30am – 6pm, Saturday – 10am – 6pm with lunch break 1 hour per day.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will entail delivering the highest standard of service with all pre-tests completed by the professional dispensing team which consists of mainly qualified dispensing opticians and the emphasis on the customer journey and offering your expert advice and guiding them through the selection process for lenses.
The client is looking for someone who has experience in a similar environment and is happy to take on responsibility for professional and accurate handovers.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Ideally you will have experience working in a high end independent practice, able to deliver tests to the highest quality & deal with complex enquiries. A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic is essential with a customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your efforts a competitive salary of £50,000 – £55,000 is on offer along with additional benefits.
