Optometrist

Are you a clinically driven Optometrist in or close to the Kinston Upon Thames area, interested in joining one of the oldest established practices in the UK?

They have two qualified dispensing opticians as well as two very experienced Receptionists who both do Ocular imaging.

Optometrist Position

The client requires five years plus qualified experienced and ideally would be in possession of some extended services certificates, for example, Glaucoma, MECS, or Dry Eye, (with Dry Eye there would be training if not certified).
*It would be an advantage if you hold your IP qualification.

As a very clinical practice, they require a strong sense of professionalism as well as a good sense of humour as they are a small but close-knit team.

Bearing in mind that it is a business a certain amount of commerciality is also required.
*Ideal applicants would have a passion for optics and not just for it to a job!

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

In this role, you will provide excellence in clinical care to your patients and work as part of a small team. You will be responsible for providing eye tests to 40-minute intervals.

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position, you will need to be a five-year minimum Qualified Optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements.

You will be first and foremost a team player and secondly a consummate professional. You will have a successful career to date and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, knowledge, and expertise in your specialist field.

Opening hours of the practice are Monday – Saturday, 9:00am – 5.30pm.

Compensation for the Optometrist

The salary on offer is up to £55,000 basic DOE and genuine training and career progression opportunities on offer, the client is looking for someone ready to put their patients first and to become an integral part of the team, and maintain the high standards.

All professional fees are paid including GOC & AOP fees.
