Full or Part time Optometrist role based in Maldon, Essex , Independent practice offering base salary up to 60,000

A brilliant opportunity has just opened up at an independent practice based in Maldon with fantastic prospects to develop clinically with the practice being involved in many specialist areas such as MECS, pre and post cataract assessments and glaucoma refinement to name a few.

With test times of 30 minutes and access to the latest equipment e.g. Topcon Maestro OCT, Slit lamp, and trial frames etc, testing can be achieved in a non-pressured and relaxed work environment.

This practice is a business built around real people and families. So you have bank holidays and Christmas guaranteed off, as well as support from an experienced team who have been working at this practice for a while.

Key Duties

• Available to work Full or Part time with minimum three days
• General Working hours 9am-5:30 Monday to Saturday with 1 hour lunch break
• Confident sole testing as the practice operates single clinics
• Extended test times of 30 minutes enabling a thorough service
• Contact lens check ups as well as regular testing to a high quality
• Paper based records soon moving to paperless
• There may be a requirement for the occasional cover in surrounding stores nearby
• Due to the clinical nature, the ideal candidate will be MECS qualified and have experience using an OCT

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience post qualification but applications from all experience levels will be considered
• GOC Registered
• Right to work in UK
