Optometrist Position

My client has a unique independent practice, situated in a prime area of East London since the early 1990s and their aim has always to create a warm and welcoming environment within the traditionally furnished surroundings.
Emphasis is placed on personal service, correctly fitted frames and accurately dispensed lenses.
In a market dominated by larger optical groups here is a practice dedicated to providing clients with a reassuring, individual and professional service.

They offer services to private clients with an exceptional range of frame form some of the biggest names in design, but also service NHS clients with range of frames of quality lines to cater for all pockets.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

This role would suit a clinically minded individual who is looking for a better work life balance. You will be working in well-equipped test rooms and will be very well supported by a long standing and experienced dispensing team.
You will conduct a comprehensive sight test with 25-minute slots and contact lens clinics and after care. You will make recommendations and offer advice on sight care products.

They would like to offer MECS again, which has been put on hold, so accredited with this certificate would be desirable but not essential as they are open to attending the course.

Requirements of the Optometrist To apply for this position, VAC-32302, you will need to be a fully qualified optometrist who is registered with the GOC and up to date with all CET requirements. Ideally be MECS accredited. You will be hard working and professional with a good chair side manner and personal work ethic. You will be interested in optical technology and up to date with all industry advancements.
You will be joining a team of eight in a boutique setting with an on-sight lab for increased service efficiency.

Mon-Thu 9.30-18.00 Fri 9.30-15.00 Sun 10.00-16.00
No Saturdays!
* This role offers two working hours options of Sun-Thu, (Ideal for the client), but can discuss Mon-Fri

Compensation for the Optometrist

On offer is a very competitive salary of £60-75,000 + *parking costs and an outstanding holidays package, (40 days) & did I mention NO SATURDAYS!
