Optical Practice Manager

I am currently working with a well-established family run independent who are now looking for a confident, assertive trainee manager to help support the team.

You will be working in a very high end, modern practice with all the latest equipment, it is a 3-clinic practice with a team around of around 10 strong: all experienced, all work well together and support each other daily.
This practice is well known for their reputation and boast excellent customer service and are located in a quaint town outside the Reading area.

My client is looking to offer a competitive package, sociable hours as well the opportunity to work in a relaxed high end and modern independent. This is a full-time role including some Saturdays (No Sundays or Bank Holidays)

Up to £25,000 basic
Sales based bonus scheme.
Hours are 9 to 5 in the week and 9 to 4 on Saturdays.
A bespoke training and development program is provided, and no optical experience is required (but would be preferable). This is a role for someone that is passionate to learn and to have a fulfilling career in an award-winning independent practice.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

Your role will grow as you become more confident as a manager, my client will be able to teach you the ropes and develop your skills after going through the training program.
You will work within a busy practice in an all-around role.
You will be working in a small team and be able to support and motivate the team working towards targets and KPI’s.
You will be helping patients with their eyecare needs from frame styling to advising them on their eye health.
You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

Some retail or customer service experience preferable.
Some leadership or management experience helpful but not essential.
Be driven and want to develop yourself personally and in a career in management.
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
Working 5 days per week including Saturdays, hours are 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays (No Sundays or Bank holidays)

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

For your efforts there is a very rewarding and competitive salary on offer of up to £25,000 + a rewarding bonus scheme (Approx £2k per annum) along with other benefits.
Sociable hours and flexibility on weekends (one off per month)
