Optometrist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join a leading name in the UK optics field. I am working one my clients in the Andover area who are ideally looking for a qualified Optometrist to join a small, independent feel practice due to their current resident Optometrist leaving after 15 years to be closer to home.

Up to £60,000 basic – Full time, 9:00 to 5:30 – working Monday to Saturday (flexibility on Saturdays)

The practice is well equipped with fundus cameras and OCT in a new modern “all singing, all dancing” test room providing an overall comfortable work space. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your professional handovers to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.
They are a very close team who all have the best interests of both the team and the patients in mind.

Optometrist Position

This is a full time opportunity with a market leading opticians in a prime location in the Andover area.
They will consider both newly qualified as well as those who are more experienced.
They are one of the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with occasional contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 25 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
Your experience will be more catered to your clinical skills rather than commercial awareness but the ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance between the two.
You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000 basic.
You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
Sociable hours with no late nights or weekends.
New equipment including OCT.
