Optometrist

I have recently taken on a new role for an experienced Optometrist in the Stevenage area. My client is one of the leading Opticians in the UK, with a presence in nearly every town and city in the country. This particular practice has an outstanding reputation in the region for clinical excellence, customer service and a great team culture.

* Basic salary up to £65,000
* Open to full or part time
* Equipment – all the latest equipment including Nidek Tonoref, Phoropter and OCT
* Great support team – 4x DO’s, 1x CLO and 2 other resident Optometrists all pre-screening and OCT testing done for you
* Based between two practices in the Stevenage area with very different working environments (one is relaxed and one is a fast paced practice)
* Clinical Development – Medical Retina, MECS, etc.

The ideal candidate will ideally be an experienced Optometrist looking for a new challenge, you will be involved with an ambitious team all thriving for excellence but also helping each other through their day to day roles. You will be an ambitious, driven individual, looking to forge a long term career.

This is between two practices, one is a large store with a well-established team and 4 test rooms and the other, is a smaller practice only 4 years old with 2 test rooms – you will be well supported by your team and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career forward either clinically with extra courses or down the managerial side.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

Performing eyes tests – 20-25-minute appointments
Retinal imaging
Adhering to all GOC guidelines
Building excellent patient reports
Option to be a pre-reg supervisor
Helping to assist team and develop and grow team culture further

Requirements of the Optometrist

Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Must be able to work well within a team
Have a good balance between providing quality customer service while also being commercially aware

Compensation for the Optometrist

You will be working between two modern, well equipped practices in the Stevenage area
All the latest equipment and technology in place with OCT, Phoropters and Nidek Tonoref.
For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £65,000 is on offer along with additional benefits.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training, develop onto WOPEC or down the managerial side and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
