Managing Technician

An opportunity has become available within well-established multiple practices in East London for an experienced Optical Lab Manager or Senior Technician.

This is a full-time permanent position where you will be working with a team of three glazing technicians. The store will be producing approx. 100 jobs per day and will need someone who can work both efficiently and to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

My client is looking for a technician looking for a new challenge, someone driven, organised and hardworking who will take pride in their work.

Responsibilities of the Optical Lab Technician

Your role will be to take on all glazing for the practice and therefore be able to glaze all supra, standard, rimless, metal/ plastic frames etc.
You will undertake all glazing, currently around 100 jobs per day as well as help to manage stock levels, inform customers of the order status, and maintain equipment.

Requirements of the Optical Lab Technician

To apply for this position, you will need to be an experienced Lab Technician who is able to use Nidek machinery and glaze to all levels. You will be able to remain focused and motivated and you will be a very well organised person with a keen eye for detail

Compensation for the Optical Lab Technician

For your efforts, a competitive salary of up to £26,000, dependent on what role is suitable for, is on offer along with a rewarding bonus scheme based on wastage which currently is worth approx. £100 per month. You will also receive some further training and join a professional team in a busy fast-paced environment.
