Optometrist Position

I am working with a very well-established independent group that are looking for a clinically focused optometrist to joining their team. This company has an excellent reputation for the quality of care that they offer. This company uses the latest equipment and is a part of local shared care schemes as well as MECs. In this role, you will have time to spend with your patients to complete a thorough test 30 – 40 mins. You are not monitored by KPI’s but by your customer’s reaction to your service, happy customers – happy owners

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

Your role will be to cover three stores in close proximity to conduct sight tests, only 9 to 11per day. You will also complete contact lens work and be involved with the various shared care plans that this company is a part of. You will be on hand to offer great advice before handing your patients over to qualified dispensing opticians.

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position you need to be a fully qualified, GOC registered optometrist. You will be passionate about optics and focused on the care that you deliver. You will want to further develop your skills and grow as a practitioner as the store grows. You will have excellent communication skills and a strong personal work ethic.

Compensation for the Optometrist

On offer for your efforts is a basic salary of £48,000 + professional fees. You will be working great family-friendly hours 0900 – 1730 with no Sundays and dependent on which practice in on Saturdays, an early finish.
