A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Manager on the South Coast, in the Bournemouth area to join a well-established, small group of modern and high end opticians.

They have a number of practices over the Bournemouth/ Southampton area, all with an outstanding reputation for designer products, modern high-end looking practices and an outstanding first-class patient focussed service that is guaranteed in each and every one of their practices.

Assistant Manager role

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

Your role will be to help lead a small but experienced team from the front.
You will be on the shop floor making sales and coaching your teams and ensuring customer service standards are maintained.
You will occasionally be involved in all optical duties such as dispensing but primarily be offering advice, managing staff, troubleshooting, rota management, KPI’s, P&L, and dealing with all of the day to day duties.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager

You will have a strong level of experience and knowledge in both optics and management
This role is full time, working 5-days, including every Saturday.
You must have over 3 years of experience in optics, ideally at a senior level and be comfortable managing a team, you will report directly to the Practice Manager and help to assist on a day-to-day basis.
You will have a confident and up-beat personality with a strong people and management skill set along with a willingness to succeed.
You will be ambitious and hardworking and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

For your efforts a competitive package is on offer;
” A competitive salary of up to £26,000 (depending on experience)
” Sociable hours with no Sundays or late nights
” Free parking either at the practice or nearby
” In house CET training
” You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
” Hours would be 9am till 6pm – 37.5 hours to include Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank holidays
