Qualified Dispensing Optician

This well-established group of opticians are currently on the lookout for a new Qualified Dispensing Optician to join one of their practices in the Bournemouth area in a senior role. The practice has a nice, independent feel, focus on their patients and customer service and offer a wide range of products.
You will working in a small but long serving team who have been in the practice for a number of years. They have an excellent reputation in the Bournemouth area, with a loyal patient base.

09:00- 17:30 with 1-hour lunch
Salary of up to £30,000

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

The role will primarily involve you being a senior member of the team on the shop floor in the dispensing team you will also be conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
The role will also involve a training aspect to the role; supporting the team, developing the practice and monitoring remakes etc.
This person is also required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options.
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points
You will be a friendly, yet professional person who is able to work with and support a team, whilst also create relationships and work as part of a team.
You will have previous optical experience and be competent in all dispensing as well as having a wide range of frames and lens knowledge.
You will handle the majority of children’s and complex dispensing and you will use your expertise and clinical experience to trouble shoot and deal with any issues as they arise

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £30,000 is on offer as well, a very appealing bonus scheme and other company benefits.
Store hours:
Mon – Sat – 09:00-17:30 with 1-hour lunch
Sunday – 10:30-16:30
