Major Healthcare is currently working with one of Hampshire leading local family run independent opticians who have the unique opportunity to employ a new Dispensing Practice Manager. They pride themselves on an independent, professional and ethical service combining specialist expertise, products and value to deliver an innovative approach.

We are looking to speak with Dispensing Practice Managers or Dispensing Opticians on behalf of their long-established practice located in Eastleigh. Successful applicants will be working with a strong motivated team of professionals and be a passionate, dedicated and organised individual.

This is an ideal position of an experienced Dispensing Optician with a strong commercial mindset. You will need to possess strong communication skills with a proven track record in people management, ensuring you are able to lead, motivate and guide the team.

• 30 – 45 minute testing times with extra time for pre-screening, offering the ability to gain a greater understanding of patients concerns, needs and lifestyles

• The company run a large variety unique specialist services and clinics including-Dry eye services, Blephex treatment, Coloured overlay & Visual Stress, Diabetic screening, Glaucoma & Cataract monitoring, Sports eyewear and Low-Vision aids, Paediatrics eyecare, Hear care services and Specialist contact lenses inc. Ortho-K (Vison correction) contact lenses, Myopia MiYOSMART contact lenses and MiSight contact lenses

• The company are specialists in paediatric spectacle dispensing and have a particular interest in fitting contact lenses for children

• 3 very spacious test rooms within a relaxed, high-end setting and a spacious and beautifully presented working environment

• Closed Sundays, Bank Holidays and no late nights as the practice closes at 5:30pm midweek

Details and requirements

• Opening hours: Monday – Friday (08:30am – 17:30pm) Saturday (09:00am – 16:00pm)

• Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays

• Full time position available

• Must be willing to supervise a student (Year 1) Dispensing Optician

• Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

• Basic salary of up to £42,000
