Optical Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Optical Assistant to join a leading name in the UK optics field. This practice is well-established and has a great reputation as well as a loyal patient base. They are currently undergoing a refit adding a 2nd test room and updating the look of the practice to keep with modern day standards, as a result of this they are recruiting for an experienced Optical Assistant.

Up to £24,000 (*see requirements)

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has had experience within a busy practice and can dispense to all levels confidently with fantastic clinical skills, good commercial awareness, and the ambition and drive to be successful.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

Minimum of 12 months’ experience with experience in a busy practice.
*For the top end of the salary bracket you will need to have had over 5 years’ experience in optics and be an experienced dispenser as well as having worked in a busy multiple.
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £24,000 depending on experience is on offer.
You will join a longstanding team that have worked in the practice for many years.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training, progress and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
