Specsavers in Hessle are looking for a newly-qualified or experienced Optometrist. Were looking for someone with new and a refreshing ideas on Optometry, and are happy to help support anyone through the early stages of their career. Were fully equipped with 7 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 20 which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. Our experienced, diverse and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patients needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers.

Our location
Were located in the rural town of Hessle which has been described as a 'big village' and as such there is a real community focus within the store. We are based in Hessle Square in the centre of the town, surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants, so theres lots of things to do in the area. We are also within an easy distance of major towns including the vibrant City of Hull. Despite being remote, we have great transport links including regular buses, a train station within walking distance of the store, and were close to the M62 motorway, and free parking nearby.

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so were keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. Youll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same.
