Qualified Dispensing Optician

My client is looking for a team player who is a full-time Dispensing Optician.

Located in a busy retail park, and well known for their comprehensive eye examinations and wide range of eyewear brands, further enhances the overall quality of the practice.

The right candidate will be confident and efficient in their role, providing patients with the best quality of care throughout their appointment and supporting the team in other roles and responsibilities within the practice.

You will advise patients on our wide range of frames and lenses, including style, weight and colour. You will also advise on how they should wear and care for their spectacles,
You will often be the first point of contact for patients, who can range from children to the elderly.

Working hours are Mon – Sat (9-5.30), Occasional Sunday closed clinic

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician:

Interpret optical prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists.
Give advice to patients on lens type, frames, and styling.
Give advice on Contact lenses, including their care and use
Take the frame and facial measurements to ensure correct frame fit and positioning
Advise the partially sighted patients on the use of low vision aids
Advise patients when adjustments or repairs to spectacles.
Select, manage and order a range of optical products.
Order lenses from prescription laboratories.
Check lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specifications.
Arrange and maintain displays.
Supervise and train team members.

You will be a smart dresser and maintain a high level of courtesy and professionalism with customers.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For this role, my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £27,000, with a bonus scheme in place. You will be working 5 days in 7 days. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday (Plus 8 bank holidays) + store discounts and other benefits.
