This medium size optician in the Kingston area is a well-established and a well-known optician, with a presence in nearly every town and city in the country are now looking to add an Optical Practice Manager to their team of sixteen.
Optical Practice Manager PositionAs the Optical Practice Manager, you will be the driving force of the business, leading by example and inspiring staff. You will help to lead a busy team of twelve people daily, whilst managing the day-to-day business.
” They are open to a Qualified Dispensing Optician or an experienced manager who is used to a busy practice.
” Looking after a team of 12 dispensers and three optometrists in a 3-test room practice.
” Experienced and well-established team
” Needs to be a good people-person, problems solver, and be able to drive the business.
” Basic salary up to £26,000 – £33,000, dependent on experience.
” Bonus scheme currently in place with realistic, achievable targets with OTE of £36,000+.
” 40-hour contract – Monday – Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5:30pm & Sunday 10am-4:30pm on a rota basis.
” 28 Days holiday inclusive of Bank holidays
” Progression opportunities to further your career such as dispensing optician course and management courses.
Your role will be to lead the team from the front. You will be on the shop floor making sales and coaching your teams and ensuring customer service standards are maintained. You will occasionally be involved in all-optical duties such as dispensing but primarily be offering advice, managing staff, troubleshooting, rota management, KPIs, P&L, and dealing with all day-to-day duties.
Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager Whether a GOC-registered Dispensing Optician or an experienced manager, my client wants to hear from you.
Ideally, you will have experience as a manager and be comfortable in a senior role with full autonomy in the role as the Director is not looking to hold anyone’s hand!
You will have a confident and upbeat personality with a strong people and management skill set along with a willingness to succeed.
You will be ambitious and hardworking and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
A competitive salary of up to £33,000 DOE is on offer, along with a competitive bonus scheme. You will also receive some further training on professional qualifications as well as join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
