Full Time Optometrist required in a well-equipped practice in the Dartford area.
This is a permanent 5-day position.

Optometrist Position

This is a permanent, 5-day position working for a franchise of one of the UK’s largest and most successful optical groups. This is a four-test room practice with opening hours of 9 to 5.30 and Sunday 10 to 4 with no late nights.
They offer extended services such as Dry eye clinics and Myopia control as well as Ophthalmology services available.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

You will be working with a team of optometrists within a newly extended practice and fitted with the latest equipment including OCT.
35mins testing with all patients arriving 10mins early for pre-test with the dispensing team in a clinical room.
You will conduct also contact lens fitting and aftercare.
Being a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the management team to help to deliver training to the non-qualified staff and ensure that clinical best practice is always encouraged.
You will also be on hand to offer expert advice to patients not only by recommendations during a sight test but also by coming onto the shop floor to help as required.

Requirements for the Optometrist

To apply for this position, you must be a fully qualified optometrist who is registered with the GOC and up to date with all CET requirements.
You will be a professional, friendly person who is able to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike. You will be clinically minded but also understand the commercial aspect of the position.

Compensation of the Optometrist

On offer is a competitive salary of up to £48,000 for newly qualified and for the more established up to £60,000 + a Store bonus of 10% of all weekly clinic sales after achieving the target, plus 33 days holiday.
You will work 5-7 days per week on a rota basis.

You will have in-house ophthalmologist access and have quarterly CET in-store sessions and training sessions including from GOC/OCCS.
