Specsavers in Lakesideare expanding. We're undergoing a store refit, completion is due end of April, to include a fantastic staff rest area and an additional test room.

Our store encourages career development and growth; we have mentored 15 Optometrists that have now become partners of their own stores. At Specsavers in Lakeside,we have a clear-sighted vision to transform eye health in our community, too. We offer community glaucoma monitoring within Southend Hospital. This opportunity could offer you a varied and interesting range of clinics within the store and the hospital.

• 65,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

We are passionate about the clinical development of our team, and as our new Optometrist, we would support you with extra courses and specialisms that interest you. Whatever your ambitions, from WOPEC qualifications and independent prescribing to paediatric accreditations or enhanced optical services. We enjoy a unique partnership with our local hospital in Southend by running glaucoma monitoring clinics. You could enjoy a varied working week, shared between the store and the community clinics within the hospital. Well do everything we can to help you be the best clinician you can be.

Our store is located within the very popular retail park in Thurrock. Lakeside is served by C2C rail station, Chafford Hundred, a short walk from Lakeside and is connected directly via a pedestrian link bridge. Want to cycle to work?There are great local cycle routes into Lakeside from Chafford Hundred and Grays.
