A family owned independent Opticians based in the Wednesbury, West Midlands are looking for a full time Optical Assistant to join the team.
Optical Assistant - Role
- Working at a very well respected independent Opticians
- Traditional practice which puts the patient first
- Opportunity to start the Dispensing Optician course in September
- Full support from two experienced supervisors
- Helping Dispensing frames and lenses to all levels, including varifocals
- Reception and admin duties
- Time set aside to complete coursework
- Full time including Saturdays
- 9am to 5pm
- Salary between 20-25K
- All course fees paid for
Optical Assistant - Requirements
- Previous experience of working as an Optical Assistant, Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
- Committed to working in optics long term
- A Trainee Dispensing Optician will also be considered
- Able to dispense lenses to all levels
- Enjoy building relationships with patients
- Computer Literate
- Excellent communication skills: clear verbal and written communication with active listening skills
- Able to deliver superb customer service
