Lab Technician

Location: Dumfries

Working hours: Full Time 37.5 hours (no late nights or Sundays, Saturday working required with one full weekend off in 4)

Fixed working pattern - can offer flexibility if required

Salary: Dependent on experience + bonus after probation with earning potential of up to an extra 1200 per annum

Experience level: Previous Optical experience is essential for this role

At Specsavers, our Laboratory Technicians use the latest computer-controlled equipment and an eye for detail & accuracy, allowing them to maintain high standards maximise customer satisfaction.

With your previous knowledge of an Optical Lab, you will be part of a team responsible for preparing customers spectacle orders to the highest standard and be confident with the following responsibilities:

• Accurately reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions that are received
• Setting and glazing lenses into frames ensuring attention to detail at all times
• Complete necessary minor repairs and adjustments
• Working towards agreed timeframes to meet customer expectations
