A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optometrist on a full-time, permanent basis with an independent optician just outside the Colchester area.

This optician has a very relaxed environment with a nice, loyal patient base that has been coming back for years, the team are very patient focussed and offer the best customer service.

They are a very newly refitted practice (within the last year) with all the latest equipment in practice. You will be spoilt for choice as they have both trial frames and a new R800 Essilor Phoropter. As well as this they have digital test charts, fundus camera and take pride in having all the latest and best eye care equipment.

This vacancy would be for an experienced Optometrist to be located in the Essex area, ideally close to Colchester.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Optometrist – ideally 3 years qualified.
What’s important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients as pride themselves on excellent customer care.
Looking to do (on average) 14/15 tests per day with 30-minute testing slots (including your own fields screening) to provide excellent service to your patients, you will be working with all the latest equipment as previously mentioned in a relaxed calm environment surrounded by a close knit friendly team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

” Must be GOC registered
” Open to newly qualified or experienced
” A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
” A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your efforts a competitive package is on offer;
” Up to £70,000 basic
” 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays (Bank Holidays are closed)
” Sociable hours with no Sundays or late nights
” Free parking
” You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
” Working 9:00-5:00 Monday to Saturday – 37.5 hours to include Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank holidays
