Optometrist Position

My client is a family-run optical practice providing a high level of eye care and optical services to patients across Birmingham. This fully equipped practice is home to an OCT Maestro 2, Fields Screener, and the Vision-R 800 Essilor Phoropter which is a new phoropter that reaches the final refraction quicker than traditional methods, and offers a refraction value delivered to 0.01D as a pose to the standard 0.25. This piece of equiptment is rare to find within practices within the West Midlands area.

They can offer an Optometrist a full time position conducting a comfortable 30-45 mins test time, working 9-5:30 across 5 days out of 6 wih an hour lunch where the practice is closed for the lunch break.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

You will be conducting sight tests in 30-45 minute slots which is dependent on the Optometrists preference. You will also be required to conduct contact lens fittings and aftercare. You will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions on the shop floor and help in other areas of the business as required.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Applications are welcome from GOC registered Optometrists of all levels of experience, so whether you are newly qualified, or vastly experienced, my client wants to hear from you. You will be a strong team player who is always keen to better yourself with strong commercial and clinical skills.

Compensation for the Optometrist

The salary package is flexible depending on experience up to £50,000 pro-rata and 28 days (inclusive of BHs) as well as the christmas period off!
