*This is a seven-day business and as such all successful applicants will work on a rota basis with one weekend day per week worked.

Qualified Dispensing Optician Position

An opportunity has just become available for a customer-driven Qualified Dispensing Optician in an eight-test room practice with a forty-five-strong team.

They have all the latest technology to hand and the incumbent owners have a reputation for excellence and team development.
Both Practices are based in the Watford area, but you will be based in one of the practices, (It is customary for some flexibility to work in the other to cover sick or holidays).

The practice is situated in busy locations and has strong footfall with a loyal customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients. They have a very friendly and patient-focused team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.
The owners have a ‘team comes first’ mentality and a forward-thinking ethos to help develop and grow their employees.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, but more than that you will have some responsibility of guiding the junior team were needed to be the best dispensers they can be. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

My client is offering a competitive salary from 28-32k basic, DOE, and a bonus scheme in place, although uncapped, with additional benefits.
You will also receive further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
