Job Title: Regional Manager - Field Services

Location: Various

Reporting to: Director of Field Services

Salary: Competitive plus bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

OutsideClinic is growing at an unprecedented rate in the provision of our in-home eye tests meaning we have increasingly more brilliant purpose led Optometrists joining us in our mission. With exciting plans to continue our growth, the time is right for us to form a new Regional Management team, led by the Director of Field Services to lead, coach, support and help grow our team of Optometrists.

Principle Accountabilities

Commercial

  • Own and manage the commercial performance for the Region, communicating and delivering on key business priorities and targets.
  • Manage Regional Budgets and P&L to achieve our in year target
  • Champion our Patient Experience to deliver our Mission and Values, exceeding our patient (customer) satisfaction targets
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the marketplace, competitors and trends to generate ideas to improve patient/customer satisfaction, sales performance, and productivity across the Region
  • Support Optometrists with a regular schedule of observational coaching visits, recognising excellence and agreeing opportunities for improvement

People

  • Act as a role model to lead, coach and develop Optometrists to maximise their performance and potential that provides first class clinical, patient care as defined by our Patient/Customer Experience
  • Provide effective resourcing solution to increase Optometrist numbers in your Region and ensure retention of Optometrists is maintained achieving targeted attrition rates.
  • Understand and actively promote company health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Deliver personal performance reviews with all direct reports at the agreed regularity, identifying future talent, contributing to the Company succession plans.
  • Develop great relationships with senior colleagues throughout the Company, to ensure effective collaboration towards achieving clinical excellence, commercial targets and KPIs in your region
  • Take responsibility for own personal development and keep up to date with relevant legislation and policy change

Operational

  • Ensure all Optometrists complete all mandatory training and required CPD within agreed timescales
  • Ensure all Optometrists are fully compliant with all key internal processes, in particular internal audit, financial processing, and Health & Safety, ensuring actions identified to correct are completed within agreed timescales and learnings logged
  • Consistently monitor operations and identify and propose areas for improvement or change
  • Build and maintain great working relationships with Shared Services Colleagues, influencing and making decisions aligned to Company Values, Mission and Purpose which will contribute to the overall cultural ambition within the Company

About you

The ideal Regional Manager will have previous experience leading healthcare professionals across multiple geographical locations and will be able to show evidence of the development of high performing teams through a nurturing leadership style, balancing care and commercial to inspire and deliver success and the highest of standards across your region consistently.

Along with authentic purpose led leadership and strong interpersonal skill, you'll be able to demonstrate high levels of self motivation, considerable commercial ability and a history of achieving individual and team goals.

Ideally educated to Degree level, you may have Leadership/Management Qualifications or through your experience can demonstrate a history and leadership learning and practice.

You'll be comfortable and confident working alone and as part of a regional team and be passionate about delivering an extraordinary outcome for patients, employees and the overall business.
