Optical Practice Manager

This well-established independent optician in the Bournemouth area now has a vacancy for an Optical Practice Manager. They are looking for an experienced Manager to come in and lead a small team whilst driving and developing the practice.

Leading on average a team of 3-4 within a single clinic you will be looking to deliver second-to-none customer service with a practice which has a loyal varied patient base.
They are looking to increase the testing days from 4 to 5
They are a modern practice and have all new equipment including a Heidelberg OCT

Monday to Friday – (they may be looking to re-open on Saturdays for a half day)
09:00- 17:30 with 1-hour lunch
Salary of up to £30,000
Free parking at the practice

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

Your day-to-day roles will include dispensing to all levels, pre-screen, and contact lens teaching.
As a manager you will be able to lead a team, increase footfall and revenue as well as general daily running of the practice.
What is important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store whether that be dispensing, stock taking, answering calls or dealing with problems.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

Management experience within an optician is required as you will have full autonomy in managing the practice and the team how you see fit.
You will be involved in stock purchasing, recruitment and developing the business by looking to increase footfall and keeping clinics booked up
Must be a team player
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

For your efforts, a competitive salary of up to £30,000 is on offer as well as free parking.

Store hours:
Monday to Friday – 09:00- 17:30 with 1-hour lunch
They may re-open for a half day on Saturdays in the future
No Sunday working or bank holidays
