Our store underwent a complete refit in January of 2020 and now has 6 test rooms, each is fully equipped with the latest clinical technology; we have been using OCT since 2008. We offer a range of enhanced clinical services including post cataract, MECS, IOP refinement, OHT & stable glaucoma monitoring, glaucoma follow-up and OCT image diagnostics. We always aim to be the very best we can be both clinically and in terms of customer service. Our experienced, diverse and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patients needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers. Rachel, one of our store partners, has close working ties with Plymouth University, supporting the supervision of 3rd Year Optometry Students. You are guaranteed to receive the very best training and development under her guidance.

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our stores ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isnt afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, were looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.

Location

Launceston was once the capital of Cornwall, and it is easy to see why especially when you catch sight of the Norman Castle dominating the skyline as you approach the town. Situated close to the Devon border and within the picturesque Tamar Valley this once strategic stronghold has retained much of its ancient origins and charm.

Set amidst rolling countryside Launceston is conveniently situated between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and within easy reach of the north and south Cornish coasts - the town lies just off the A30 - and motorway links to the South west and Cornwall are excellent. Domestic and international flights operate from Exeter and Newquay airports, which are both less than a 50-minute drive away. Okehampton train station can be reached within 15 minutes.
