An exceptional opportunity has become available for an Optometrist to join a successful independent opticians based near Boldon Colliery.

This is your opportunity to join a well-established and reputable practice on a flexible basis, where you are given time to cater to your patients needs in a low-pressured work environment.
The practice provides a professional, community based service covering the full range of eye care services, and offers thorough eye examinations through their investment in an OCT machine.
You will work closely alongside the practice owners to continue their on-going success and further their reputation as the opticians of choice in the local area.
There is a fantastic package on offer which includes a market leading salary and GOC fees paid, in addition to support for further study and progression in your chosen career and a relaxed, friendly and rewarding working environment.

Key Duties

• Full or part-time position which can be tailored to your preferred schedule
• Working hours are generally 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am-12:00pm Saturdays and are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Flexible 30 minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• They have a highly-established patient base allowing for a less sales driven, pressure free working environment giving you the ability to focus solely on what's best for your patient
• The Company continuously invest in cutting edge technology where the practice has a state of the art OCT machine
• Supported in your role by an experienced practice team

Package and Benefits

• Very Competitive salary between 40,000 - 50,000 (depending on experience)
• Half a day on Saturdays
• Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays
• GOC fees paid
• Opportunity for sponsorship through further clinical courses or career development

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Registered with the GOC as an Optometrist
