Job title: Communications & Engagement Manager

Reporting to: HR Director

Your Role

A critical and new role has been developed as part of our continued ambition to shape our people, patients and partner experiences through extraordinary communication and engagement best practice.

This is an opportunity to work with our marketing and HR teams across the business to:

  • Position OutsideClinic and other parts of the Group as an employer of choice
  • Review and implement an appropriate communication, digital, internal platform for all employees across the Group
  • Responsible for communications and engagement against each project in the business project stack
  • Agree best possible communication strategy with field-based employees to improve retention and engagement
  • Shape, connect and engage at every level across the business drawing together and acting on feedback
  • Produce the highest quality internal communication plan and subsequent campaigns
  • Own employee engagement surveys to understand activities and recommend change that will provide the greatest benefit to our people
  • Work with the business to engage and retain employees, improving social media coverage and company reputation
  • Review and recommend changes to current social media plans and campaigns
  • Take ownership of the external, corporate website, content and design, working with internal and external key stakeholders to produce fresh and enticing customer/candidate content
  • Support the Wellbeing strategy to ensure that it is integral to the overall employee proposition

You'll be trusted to work and make autonomous decisions and valued for your professional expertise.

Your key Accountabilities

  • Increase awareness of Group strategy and operational priorities
  • Support and advise business Directors on companywide announcements and events
  • Connect all employees to company Vision, Mission and Values (VMV)
  • Develop relevant content and timely rhythm for internal communications through agreed omni-channel development
  • Join the dots for marketing, communications and engagement across the Group
  • Support CPD and other events as required
  • Lead on all internal communications breaking news being proactive and recommend approaches
  • Support Board and Directors with articles, newsletters and bios aiming to raise profile and organisational reputation
  • Contribute to the Marketing Strategy and support activities
  • Work with key internal contacts to build content ideas, in line with company strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
  • Liaise with external partners

Your Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Bachelors degree (or equiv) in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in communications strategy development

  • Excellent written communication and copy writing skills
  • Confident presenter
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Project and campaign management skills
  • Strong Digital communications platform knowledge and experience
  • Full use of Microsoft Office 365
  • High use of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Glassdoor

Health and Safety

  • Follow the companys COVID, health, safety and environmental policies, guidelines and procedures always

Other

  • Some travel required to offices and other business venues across the UK.
