Optical Assistant Position

A brand new role has just become available for a committed and professionally experienced Optical Assistant for a full-time, permanent role in the West Central London area.

This practice is situated in a bustling high footfall area with a long-standing customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients.

They have a small team all working toward the same goals and have a good reputation for being friendly and patient-focused with equal consideration given to customer care and the business needs.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and help with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

At least 2 years of experience in a busy practice is essential and the ability to dispense to all levels due to the nature of handling queries effectively and professionally.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written are essential as well as an excellent team player attitude.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

They are offering a competitive salary of up to £23,000 – £26,000 basic and additional benefits including additional optical courses and the dispensing optician course.
