A fantastic opportunity to become the resident optometrist within a well-established and highly respected group in the Derby / Nottingham areas.

Optometrist Position

My client is part of a very successful and growing group with practices across the UK who are now looking for an ambitious optometrist to join across 2-3 practices in local proximity to each other.
They can consider a 3, 4, or 5-day Optometrist to take on a role to include Saturdays with no Sunday working.
The role is with an independent company that is rapidly expanding and who are passionate about offering the very best service to the community.
My client has some flexibility with the days in the week but does have a need for someone every Saturday.

*The ideal applicant would be someone who is keen to progress clinically and possibly partnership in the future.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

You will be conducting sight tests in 25 minute+ slots with all pre-tests completed for you. You will also be required to conduct contact lens fittings and aftercare. You will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions on the shop floor and help in other areas of the business as required.

They do a lot of myopia control so applicants need to be keen to learn these skills if not already familiar with them.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Applications are welcome from GOC registered Optometrists of all levels of experience, so whether you are newly qualified, or vastly experienced, my client wants to hear from you. You will be a strong team player who is always keen to better yourself with strong commercial skills.

Compensation for the Optometrist

The salary package is flexible depending on experience but in the region of £55,000 and a good benefits package.
